Extension planned for Halton General Oncology Unit

View of proposed extension at Halton GeneralCANtreat's first project sets the scene for the future.

After working with senior staff to assess operational requirements, the improvements have been designed to provide a more positive environment for oncology patients and visitors.

The initial Concept Scheme and Feasibility/Viability Study is now available for consultation.

Potential expansion opportunities include a dedicated chemotherapy unit within the facility.

The two Concept Design Schemes minimise impact on existing structures and services wherever possible.

Spatial relationships and patient/visitor/staff routeing have been reviewed and improved, and all areas upgraded to meet ongoing operational requirements and best practice.
